Welcome to the Pack 64 website!

Cub Scout Pack 64 is part of the Waapi Lenaswa District of Rainbow Council, and serves the communities of Lockport and Homer Glen in Illinois.  This website is the best place to find out more information about Cub Scout Pack 64 and all of our upcoming activities.

Congratulations to our AOL Recipients

We have 6 Scouts that worked very hard and have earned Cub Scouting's highest award - the Arrow of Light.

A big congratulations goes out to these Scouts!  Pack 64 wishes them the best of luck as they continue up their Scouting trail...  straight to Eagle!

Summertime Pack Award

Thanks to all of the Scouts and their families that came out to our summer events.  Hopefully everyone had a great time.  Along the way, our Pack has earned the National Summertime Pack Award!  Qualifying for this award requires 50% of our Scouts to attend each summertime event.

We also had 2 dens qualify for the National Summertime Den Award for them having 50% of their den members at each event.  Congratulations to our Wolf Den and our Webelos II Den.

Additionally, we had 14 Scouts that attended all 3 events over the summer.  They all received the National Summertime Award pin which can be worn on their uniform!

Pack 64 Library - New Books Added!

Pack 64 now has the beginnings of a great reference library!  All of the books are available to the leaders and Scouts of our Pack.  Do you have a book that would make a good addition to our library?  Let us know!

Hiking Program

Our next hike is Saturday, 3/13.  Check the calendar for more details.

Our Pack is continuing with our monthly hiking program.  Every month we will be meeting at a different location and going for a hike, rain or shine or snow.

During our hikes, we will be looking at nature, enjoying the outdoors, and work on other things based on the principles of Scouting.

February 2010 - Happy Birthday, BSA!

It’s time to celebrate with a big birthday bash: the Boy Scouts of America is 100 years old this year. Learn the history of how Scouting came to the United States. Find out about those who have given us this great Scouting legacy, such as Daniel Carter Beard, James E. West, Ernest Thompson Seton, Waite Phillips, and W. D. Boyce. Let’s play birthday games, make party decorations, and have birthday cake for our blue and gold banquet.

About Pack 64
We are sponsored by Cross of Glory Lutheran Church in Homer Glen, IL. We have an active program of age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities and meetings. We serve Cub Scout-age boys primarily from Butler Elementary School, but have several scouts that attend other elementary schools in our area.
The pack meets one Monday evening of each month (usually the third) at Butler Elementary School. At each monthly meeting we recognize the work and achievement of our Cubs as they progress through the many achievement and elective requirements in the program.
Pack 64 is a family friendly cub pack. We encourage families to attend the pack meetings together and to participate in many of our activities as a family. Cub Scouting provides wonderful opportunities for cubs and their families to share experiences, work together, and have fun.
Please join us on a great adventure called "Scouting."
