Welcome to the Pack 64 website!

Cub Scout Pack 64 is part of the Waapi Lenaswa District of Rainbow Council, and serves the communities of Lockport and Homer Glen in Illinois.  This website is the best place to find out more information about Cub Scout Pack 64 and all of our upcoming activities.

Flower Planting Service Project

A big THANK YOU to all of the Scouts and their families that participated in our flower planting service project at the Homer Public Library!  You all did a great job and the flowers look great.

Pack 64 Library

Pack 64 now has the beginnings of a great reference library!  All of the books are available to the leaders and Scouts of our Pack.  Do you have a book that would make a good addition to our library?  Let us know!

Beltloop Lock-In

Pack 64 will be holding a sports beltloop lock-in night. This event will be held on Friday, January 9th, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. We will be earning our Basketball and Ultimate beltloops. Be sure not to miss this!

New Pack T-shirts

We are ordering new Pack activity t-shirts (Class B's).  Here is the design of the new shirt.  The ink actually glows in the dark!  We will never lose our Scouts in the dark now!

Brookfield Zoo Tree Trim - 11/23

We are going to Brookfield Zoo to decorate a Christmas tree once again this year.  Each Den should work on ornaments to bring to the Zoo to decorate our tree.  There are specific guidelines that need to be followed for the ornaments which can be found here.  We need about 200 ornaments in all to decorate the tree, so figure 5 per Scout.

Brookfield Zoo also has a Zoo World Patch program.  This is a self-guided program that you can work on as you enjoy the zoo.  Click here for more information on this program.

Hiking Program

Our next hike will be Sunday, December 14th, at a location that is TBD.  Plan on meeting in the parking lot on Lockport Street at 1:00 pm.

Our Pack is continuing with our monthly hiking program.  On the 2nd weekend of every month we will be meeting at a different location and going for a hike, rain or shine or snow.

During our hikes, we will be looking at nature, enjoying the outdoors, and work on other things based on the principles of Scouting.

Interested in Scouting?

It's never too late to join!  If you have a 1st thru 4th grade boy and want to know more about Cub Scouts, please contact Pat for more information.

Save those inkjet cartridges!

Our pack is collecting used inkjet cartridges to be recycled.  If you have empty cartridges at home or work, we will take them.  Ask your friends, family, and neighbors.  You will not only be helping the environment, but you will be helping our pack earn a little extra money.

The cartridges must:

  • Be OEM, original manufacturer's brand such as Epson, HP, Lexmark, Dell, Canon and Sharp only.
  • Have a print head.
  • Not be damaged, remanufactured, refilled, or ink tanks (without print head).

Please bring them to either a den or pack meeting, or contact Pat for the closest dropoff location.

Check the list for your cartridges!

About Pack 64
We are sponsored by Cross of Glory Lutheran Church in Homer Glen, IL. We have an active program of age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities and meetings. We serve Cub Scout-age boys primarily from Butler Elementary School, but have several scouts that attend other elementary schools in our area.
The pack meets one Monday evening of each month (usually the third) at Butler Elementary School. At each monthly meeting we recognize the work and achievement of our Cubs as they progress through the many achievement and elective requirements in the program.
Pack 64 is a family friendly cub pack. We encourage families to attend the pack meetings together and to participate in many of our activities as a family. Cub Scouting provides wonderful opportunities for cubs and their families to share experiences, work together, and have fun.
Please join us on a great adventure called "Scouting."
